From a capstone project in Accra, Ghana, to a transformative legal tech platform serving multiple African nations, judy.legal partnered with InstaQuirk to build a digital presence that matched their ambitious mission of making legal research efficient across Africa. We created a platform that communicates their AI-enhanced search capabilities while building trust with legal professionals who depend on accuracy and comprehensiveness.
About the Client:
Founded in February 2018 by Sadiq Okocha, Bright Oleka, and Charles Thompson at the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology, judy.legal set out to solve a critical problem. Legal research across Africa is cumbersome, slow, and incomplete. Through extensive market research in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa, they confirmed what lawyers already knew: existing tools were inadequate. They built a smarter search engine underpinned by the most comprehensive database of common law case judgments across Africa, backed by seed investment from the Switzerland-based Meltwater Foundation.
The Challenge
Marketing agencies face a unique paradox. They excel at promoting clients but often lack in self-promotion. Ascendea needed to showcase their AI-driven differentiation in a crowded agency market while building immediate credibility with sophisticated enterprise clients. Demonstrating tangible results and methodology was essential, as was converting their impressive metrics into emotional trust. Standing out in a space where everyone claims to be innovative presented particular challenges. Their existing presence didn’t reflect the cutting-edge solutions they delivered daily for clients.
